Advance Classes

Courses on this page are NOT FOR LICENSING PURPOSES. Please click on the License Tab if you are taking the course to get your motorcycle license.

Prerequisites for all intermediate and advance classes:
- A valid motorcycle license.
- NO BALD TIRES allowed
- A motorcycle in good condition, street legal, registered, and insured.
- Proper protective riding gear which includes:
A motorcycle jacket
Full fingered gloves
Boots that cover the ankles. 
Pants with no holes (Kevlar jeans approved)
A DOT-approved helmet (full- face recommended)
NOT ALLOWED: Jeans, fingerless gloves, sweat pants and canvas shoes.

IRC  $225 Total Control Intermediate Riding Clinic

This is the perfect next step for newer riders who are looking to improve their skills on their own bike as well as riders that have recently gotten back into riding after years off but still have their license.
Total Control IRC includes:
* Throttle control     * Brake control     * Vision     * Line selection     * Low-speed turning     * Evasive maneuvers    * Road-speed turning
ARC  $375 Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic
 
Cornering technique is the primary focus of the Total Control ARC.
 
Individual skills include corner entry, line selection, body position and corner exit. There are slightly different versions of these depending on the type of bike ridden, but all follow the same philosophical principals that are taught in the course. Throttle control and throttle/brake transitions are also covered in great detail. Additionally, super-tight, low-speed, "parking lot" turns are taught.

Total Control ARC L1 Topics include:
  • Throttle/brake transitions     -Mental state     -Corner vision     -Corner entry and line selection     
  • Mid-corner body position & corner exits     -Corner transitions (figure 8's)      -Basic motorcycle suspension
ARC 1 Prerequisite:
-Must have 1 year of experience or 3,000 miles

ARC 2  $375 Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic Level 2
 
Takes off where the original left off. More challenging exercises from the best-selling book "Total Control" plus some exciting new ones mean the students will take their riding to a whole new level.

Topics covered include:     
*Riding Psychology     *Speed Shifting     *Trail Braking into a Turn     *Decreasing Arc Mid-Corner
*Decreasing Radius Turns     *Chassis Setup     *Quick Stops     *TC Solo

In TC Solo, we combine the skills from Level 1 and 2, and experience them at significantly higher speeds, mimicking the g-forces of track riding.
ARC 2 Prerequisites
-Participants MUST have completed Total Control ARC Level 1 as a prerequisite.

Prerequisites for all SKILLS CLASSES - intermediate or advance:
- No discount offered currently
- Proof of completion for IRC or ARC
- Meet all prerequisites of the above classes for license, bike, and gear 
- You will be removed from the course if you cannot show proof of completion of an IRC or ARC course
IRC Skills Practice $150
This is a 4-hour skills practice day. Any skills you learned during Intermediate Riding Clinic can be practiced during this session. The session will be a collaboration of exercises based on what you, the student, want to work on. There will be an instructor to help you work on skills in a controlled environment with professional supervision. This is a skill only session - NO CLASSROOM! Yay! Thank you for trusting us with your training to become a better and safer rider. Please bring all of the same gear requirements as the Intermediate Riding Clinic you took previously. If you did not take the IRC with us, please put your completion card # in the comments section on the registration page so we can verify you meet the qualifications.
ARC Skills Practice $150
This is a 4-hour skills practice day. Any skills you learned during Advance Riding Clinic Level 1 or 2 can be practiced during this session.
